Kenney saved his best for last, making a career-high 14 stops to lead the Bulldogs’ defense in a road victory over a NEC rival. The senior linebacker made 1.5 hits for loss and came up with a key takeaway that set up the game-tying score. Twelve of his 14 tackles stopped the opponent short of the first-down marker. With Bryant facing a 14-7 deficit, Kenney short-circuited a SHU drive at midfield. SHU completed a 3-and-5 pass to the Bryant 49-yard line where Kenney met the receiver and ripped the ball right out of his hands. The senior linebacker quickly gained possession and rumbled 25 yards the other way to the SHU 26-yard line. The takeaway came two snaps after Kenney snuffed out a wide receiver screen for a three-yard loss.
