Hines accounted for 104 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns during Duquesne’s 31-10 victory over rival Sacred Heart. The performance landed the North Carolina product his record ninth NEC Rookie of the Week award. The first-year Duke saw his streak of 100-yard rushing performances snapped, but still managed a game-high 86 yards on 18 carries. He also caught a pair of passes for 18 yards. Averaging more than 4.8 yards per rush attempt, the rookie running back again accounted for the highest individual weekly rushing total. Both of his touchdown runs (3, 2 yards) came in the first half as Duquesne built a 14-3 lead by the break and never looked back.
