Hines hasn’t stopped piling up rushing yards since mid-September. Powering Duquesne to a 28-20 road win over Wagner, the rookie running back rushed for more than 120 yards for the sixth time in his last seven games. Hines carried 22 times for 136 yards and two touchdowns as the Dukes moved into sole possession of second place in the NEC standings. The burly freshman back broke free for a 60-yard scoring scamper on the Dukes’ second possession of the game, cutting into what was an early 10-0 lead for Wagner. He found paydirt again in the fourth quarter with Duquesne looking to add to a 21-20 advantage. Facing a 4th-and-2 situation from Wagner’s 18-yard line, Hines busted through the left side of the line and went all the way for the game’s final score. The hard-running rookie also made a pair of receptions for 14 total yards.
