WEEK 10 STATS: 4 receptions, 110 receiving yards, 1 TD, 27.5 ypc
Roberts retained a share of the NEC Offensive Player of the Week award for a second straight week following his second consecutive 100-yard receiving performance. Averaging 27.5 yards per catch, the 6-foot-3 graduate student pulled in four passes for 110 yards and the go-ahead touchdown. Roberts set up a second-quarter touchdown run before finding the end zone himself late in the third quarter. With Duquesne facing a 20-14 deficit and 3rd-and-5 in the red zone, Roberts beat his defender over the middle for an 18-yard touchdown reception. Earlier on what turned out to be the game-winning drive, Roberts ran a fly route down the far sideline and drew a pass interference penalty that gave the Dukes a 1st-and-10 at Wagner’s 43-yard line. The graduate transfer student, who previously competed for Old Dominion, added two more key catches during a fourth-quarter touchdown drive that gave the Dukes some insurance. Roberts’ 26-yard gain moved the Dukes’ into Seahawks’ territory and his 20-yard catch converted a 3rd-and-9 situation three plays later.
