NEC Rookie of the Month
Since joining his brother on the Bulldogs, Ortiz-Garcia has made quite the impression this fall for Bryant. He won all three of his singles matches and went a perfect 3-0 in doubles competition at the Army Shootout in early October. Competing at the #5 and #6 singles spots, Ortiz-Garcia knocked off Army’s Daniel Zheng (6-2, 6-1), Sacred Heart’s Matthew Suprenant (6-0, 6-4) and Stony Brook’s Justin Park (6-1, 6-1). He also teamed with Andrew Quiros for his three doubles victories.
