WEEK 8 STATS: 180 kick return yards, 4 kick returns, KOR TD
The Bulldogs scored 10 points on the heels of two Sewall kick returns in a 27-17 home win over NEC rival Wagner. Helping Bryant deal the Seahawks their first league loss, Sewall totaled a career-high 180 yards on four kickoff returns. He logged 157 of those yards on a pair of third-quarter runbacks, including Bryant’s longest return since Jose Depadua went 100 yards against Sacred Heart on October 19, 2013. Sewall took the second half’s opening kickoff 60 yards to the Wagner 30-yard line, leading to a Ricky Perez field goal nine plays later. After Wagner trimmed Bryant’s lead to 13-10 on a field goal with 3:29 left in the third quarter, Sewall took the ensuing kickoff 97 yards to paydirt.
