Rog picked up his fourth NEC Male Athlete of the Week award after finishing sixth in a field of 219 harriers at the New England Championships in Boston on Saturday. The sixth place individual showing at the meet was the best in SHU history and his 24:52.1 time over the 8K course was the fastest ever by a Pioneer runner at Franklin Park, lowering the mark set by former NEC individual champion Sean Ferguson (24:56) back in 2013. Rog, who was the first NEC finisher to cross the tape, earned All-New England honors for his performance.
