Rog came close to earning two wins in his first two cross country meets with the Pioneers, narrowly finishing second at the UMass Minuteman Invitational on Saturday. Rog’s time of 19:03 – just four seconds off the pace – was the fastest ever recorded by a Sacred Heart runner on the 6K UMass course. The two-time NEC Athlete of the Week’s runner-up finish came in a field of 95 runners, including harriers from Boston College, Connecticut, Vermont and Maine.
