Theetge was as dominant as ever during the final regular season start of his rookie campaign. The first-year Bulldog twirled a three-hitter in the second half of Thursday’s doubleheader at Mount St. Mary’s. Logging his first-ever complete-game shutout, Theetge did not surrender an extra-base hit while pitching to a 0.71 WHIP (lowest by a NEC starter last week). The freshman southpaw limited the Mount to two infield singles over the first 6.0 frames. It wasn’t until there were two outs in the seventh that Mount St. Mary’s connected on a base hit to the outfield. Theetge fanned five batters and walked two in 7.0 frames, improving his record to 8-0.
