Phelan produced her best performance of the month while securing a bronze medal at the Bucknell Team Challenge. The Red Flash rookie sent the javelin 44.05m to top all competitors except for a pair of Penn State throwers. Although it was not her seasonal best, the mark stands well over the qualifying standard for the ECAC Championships and is good enough to propel her into the NCAA Division I East Region Top 50. Only one NEC javelin thrower owns a better performance than Phelan this season.
