Frati fired a gem for his first start against a Northeast Conference team this season. The 6-foot-3 right-hander held Mount St. Mary’s hitless for the first 7.1 innings of a 6-0 shutout victory. Frati went the distance, facing only four batters over the minimum while improving his record to 2-0 and lowering his ERA to 0.74. Facing the Mount for the first time since the 2015 regular season finale when his victory propelled FDU into the NEC Tournament, Frati fanned 11 batters and did not allow a single base runner to advance past second. An one-out single through the left side ended his no-hit bid in the eighth inning. It was the first of four harmless late-inning singles that the Mount recorded against the FDU starter. Frati issued two walks in the game with one runner being erased by a caught stealing while the other was cut down on an inning-ending double play. Having made four appearances this season, the Empire State product has surrendered only two earned runs in 24.1 innings.
