Yanucil threw her way into the NCAA Division I Top 20. Upping her seasonal best, the third-year Mountaineer hurled the javelin 50.47m (165’ 7”) to win gold at the George Mason Spring Invitational. Yanucil’s latest performance, which stands six centimeters off the meet record she set at the 2015 NEC Outdoor Championships, moved the Mountaineer up to the No. 18 spot on the national leader board. Yanucil, the NEC leader, continues to sit atop the list of ECAC Championship javelin qualifiers.
