Angelini provided run production while recording at least one base hit in each of Bryant’s four NEC victories over Wagner. During the four-game sweep, the rookie outfielder batted .538 (7-for-13) with two walks, two stolen bases, three RBI and four runs scored. The freshman made his presence felt during his first plate appearance of the series, sending a run-scoring single up the middle and eventually coming around to score during a five-run first inning that set the table for an eventual 7-0, series-opening triumph. Angelini reached base three times during Game 2, going 2-for-2 with one walk and two runs. He logged a RBI single in the fourth inning and came around to score run in both the fourth and fifth frames of the 10-4 victory. Angelini, who singled earlier in the contest, crossed the plate with the eventual winning run in the sixth frame of Game 3, a 3-2 triumph for the Bulldogs. He opened the scoring in the series finale, lacing a run-scoring single to left-centerfield in the first inning of a 5-1 win. After fanning twice during an 0-for-3 day in Bryant’s mid-week battle with UConn, Angelini did not strike out once in 15 plate appearances against Wagner.
