Frati bounced back from his shortest start of the season by firing a 9-inning, complete-game shutout on the road against Mount St. Mary’s. Upping his record in NEC starts to 3-1, the Fairleigh Dickinson right-hander went the distance in a 1-0 triumph that allowed the Knights to secure a series victory. Taking the ball for Sunday’s finale, Frati limited the Mount to only six hits and two walks while fanning 12 batters over 9.0 frames. The Empire State product became more dominant as the game wore on, allowing no base runners during any of the final three innings. Following a two-out single in the sixth inning, Frati set down the next 10 Mountaineers to face him and retired five of them via the strikeout. Frati has registered three complete-game shutouts this season and has fanned at least 11 batters in all three blankings.
