Capra was a key contributor to an offensive explosion that yielded 53 runs in four games. Serving as Wagner’s designated hitter for the first three games of a NEC road set at Mount St. Mary’s, the rookie produced seven hits, 10 RBI and five runs scored. Capra connected on an extra-base hit in each of the three contests and struck out only once in the span of 14 plate appearances. He went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored in the Seahawks’ 20-4 series-opening triumph. Capra homered in each half of Friday’s doubleheader, helping the Seahawks total 31 runs in 14 innings of baseball. After a 4-for-5 performance that featured a two-run go-ahead homer in the fifth inning of the first game, he launched a three-run bomb in the third inning of the nightcap. The freshman suffered an 0-for-3 in the series finale, but did reach base safely on a walk in Wagner’s 2-0 win.
