McKnight matches Bryant’s Marcel Pettway with his league-leading fifth NEC Rookie of the Week award this season after averaging a near double-double with 12.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 5.0 steals per game in an pair of outstanding all-around efforts. He recorded his second double-double of the season in Thursday’s 74-57 win at Bryant with 12 points and 11 rebounds. He also added a career-high six assists and matched a personal-best with four steals. Two days later in a 91-86 victory at Fairleigh Dickinson that lifted the Pioneers into a second place tie with the Mount, McKnight became the first Pioneer since Jarrid Frye on March 1, 2007 to tally six steals in a game. He fell two caroms shy of a third consecutive double-double with 12 points and eight boards. McKnight ranks second among NEC freshman with 11.8 ppg and fourth in rebounding with 5.2 per outing.
