Stones tuned up for the NEC Indoor Championships by striking gold at Monmouth. Wagner’s veteran thrower put the shot 13.56m (44’ 5.75”) to comfortably top a 39-competitor field at the Monmouth University Winter Collegiate Open. The performance marked the third time this calendar year that Stones surpassed the qualifying standard for the ECAC Championships. She’ll own the top seed at the NEC title meet later this week by virtue of the 13.94m mark she made at the NYC Gotham Cup on January 22.
