Thompson took a substantial lead over the rest of the Northeast Conference in the 800m run. In her final competition prior to the NEC Indoor Championships, the second-year Knight completed the race in 2:12.91 at the Fastrack National Invite. The time, which is more than 4.0 seconds better than the top mark of the next-best NEC runner, ranks Thompson amongst the top-65 leaders on the ECAC Championships regional performance list.
