Jones’ third weekly award of the indoor season comes on the heels of her finest performance yet. The Canadian-born Blackbird trimmed nearly 0.5 second off her league-leading 400m time while competing at the talent-loaded Boston University Terrier Invitational. Crossing the line in 55.50s, Jones produced the eighth-fastest time by a collegiate competitor at the meet and finished 12th overall out of 141 entrants. The time moved Jones up to 17th on the ECAC regional leader board and catapulted her into the Top 90 in Division I. She also ran a leg for the 4x400-meter relay team that set the LIU program record. Clocking in at 3:40.97, a time that ranks amongst the 35-fastest in Division I, the Blackbirds smashed a 26-year old mark.
