Ferguson sat out the 2015 indoor season due to injury, but the senior captain appears poised to reclaim the 3000-meter NEC title he won as a sophomore in 2014. Competing at Boston University’s Terrier Invitational, Ferguson smashed the program record that he set in 2014 by clocking in at 8:06.51. Surpassing the IC4A Championships qualifying standard by more than 18 seconds, Ferguson took a 27-second lead over the rest of the NEC and his top time is better than the NEC Indoor Championship meet record (8:14.69) from 2001. The SHU captain ranks 10th on the IC4A performance list and sits 38th overall amongst Division I leaders.
