Gioielli ended his memorable month of January in grand fashion. After picking up three gold medals in the three weeks prior, Gioielli put forth a record-breaking performance at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational. The third-year Blue Devil completed the mile run in 4:02.93. The performance, which ranks 27th amongst Division I national leaders, bested the program record that Brian Biekert (4:06.05) set in 2014. It is also more than 5.0 seconds than the NEC Indoor Championship meet record (4:08.53) from 2001.
