Loy became the first NEC pole vaulter to clear 12 feet this season, strengthening her hold on the conference lead while contesting the Youngstown State Indoor Invitational. Surpassing the qualifying standard for the ECAC Championships, Loy vaulted 3.70m (12’ 1.5”) and increased her league lead to a 25-centimeter margin as a result. Her performance was good enough for second place overall at YSU. Entering the competition at 3.30m, the Keystone State product needed only one attempt to clear each of her first four progressions. Loy, who won the NEC Indoor crown as a sophomore (2013), is one of 18 ECAC Championship qualifiers to have successfully vaulted 3.70m this season.
