It’s a New Year and a new record for Ramsey. Ending a four-week hiatus, the veteran shot putter broke the program record that he set prior to Christmas. Competing at the Villanova Open in Staten Island, NY, Ramsey put the shot 17.49m (57’ 4.75”) to top a field of 23 competitors. Ramsey’s winning throw, which came on his third attempt of the meet, extended his lead over the rest of the Northeast Conference and moved the Garden State product up to third overall on the IC4A regional performance list. Ramsey ranks 22nd overall amongst NCAA Division I shot put leaders.
