Twenty-point performances are becoming commonplace for Kovatch. Adding to her league-leading scoring average (22.5 ppg), the Saint Francis freshman poured in 23 points against Eastern Kentucky at Florida’s Gator Holiday Classic. In addition to reaching the 20-point mark for the seventh time this season, she contributed two rebounds, two assists and two steals over 29 minutes of action. Kovatch shot 69.2 percent from the field, including a 4-for-5 sample from downtown, during the 88-82 neutral-court setback. The four three-pointers made ran the rookie’s NEC-best total to 45 triples, a mark that ranks first overall amongst Division I leaders.
