Kovatch kept her scoring average above 20.0 points per game as Saint Francis faced a pair of FBS programs on the road. En-route to claiming her fifth consecutive NEC Rookie of the Week award, the Red Flash freshman averaged 21.0 points, 3.0 steals and 2.0 assists per contest. Kovatch tallied 19 points and four steals during 23 minutes of floor time in an 81-73 setback at Marshall. She sank two of her four three-pointers against the Herd in the third quarter as the Flash took a three-point edge into the final period. Kovatch led all scorers in Sunday’s contest at SEC member Florida. The Garden State product logged 23 points, three rebounds and three assists in 28 minutes against the Gators. For the week, Kovatch accounted for a 9-for-22 clip from downtown. The 5-foot-9 guard leads the nation in three-pointers made per game (4.10) and her 22.6 points per game average ranks first amongst Division I rookie scorers.
