Nwajei continued her climb up Wagner’s all-time scoring list by setting the program’s single-game points record. The New York City product poured in 45 points against America East member Stony Brook in what was the Seahawks’ lone game last week. Shooting 40 percent from the field, including a 5-for-11 clip from three-point range, Nwajei accounted for the highest single-game scoring output by a NCAA Division I player thus far this season. The 5-foot-8 guard made four steals and committed only turnover in 40 minutes of action in the setback to the Seawolves. Surpassing the career-high 40 points she scored against Columbia last season, Nwajei’s 45-point outburst broke a 29-year old Wagner record (43 -- Stephanie Samuels [2/18/86]).
