Bartosch’s season-opening multi-faceted performance impressed on multiple fronts. The third-year Pioneer lifted the lid off the indoor season by claiming victory in the Pentathlon at the Southern Connecticut State University Elm City Challenge. Racking up 3,766 points, a total that qualifies her for the ECAC Championships, Bartosch climbed to fourth place overall on the early-season NCAA Division I leader board. Of the three field events that are included in the Pentathlon, Bartosch posted a pair of first-place finishes (shot put, long jump) and one runner-up showing (high jump). She produced an ECAC-qualifying long jump mark (5.73m) that ranks her atop the NEC and her high jump performance leads the conference, too.
