Epps provided clutch free throw shooting and a career-high 24 points to spearhead Central Connecticut’s overtime victory over Atlantic 10 member Massachusetts. Helping seal a 78-68 win that snapped a six-game slide, the junior guard produced a 5-for-6 clip at the charity stripe during the final minute of the extra session. Epps, who went 11-of-12 from the line for the game, shot 50 percent from the floor and sank a trio of three-pointers on the way to exceeding the 20-point mark for the first time in her collegiate career. Her final trifecta of the game inflated CCSU’s lead to 68-64 with 1:50 remaining in overtime and UMass would get no closer the rest of the way. Logging 39 minutes, Epps accounted for three rebounds, three steals and four assists to only one turnover.
