Ross accounted for the highest overall frame average (20.16) of all bowlers who competed at the first Northeast Conference regular season meet. The senior led the Red Flash in both traditional game average (207.0) and baker frame average (19.61) during the two-day event. Posting a team-best .860 filled frames percentage, Ross threw 50 strikes in 105 chances (.476) and converted 87 percent of non-split spare opportunities. She exceeded the 215-pin mark on three consecutive occasions during Saturday’s traditional team competition. Ross saved her high game for No. 4 Fairleigh Dickinson, putting forth a 258-pin effort to spearhead a 1,018-959 victory over the rival Knights. She led Saint Francis with a 216 game in a 7-pin setback to LIU Brooklyn before paving the way for a convincing win over Caldwell by unleashing a 222. The Keystone State product was the Flash’s most-effective performer again on Sunday, totaling a team-high 961 baker pinfall over 50 frames. Ross is Saint Francis’ second NEC Bowler of the Week award recipient this season, joining Ashley Howe-Yorio who secured the honor on October 21.
