Kashyrina was the sole triple-winner for the Blackbirds, who lost by a single point to Siena following a photo finish in the final event on Saturday. The freshman was first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.38, just .05 seconds off her personal-best and NEC-best time of 24.33 this season. The Ukraine native also won the 100 free (53.72) and 100 butterfly (58.32), becoming the first Blackbird to win three events at a dual meet. Kashyrina currently holds the second best time in the NEC for the 100 free (52.68) and the fourth best time in the 100 fly (58.32). This marks her first NEC Swimmer of the Week award and second NEC Rookie of the Week honor.
