WEEK 9 STATS:  14 total tackles (11 solo), 1.5 TFL, 1.0 sack, 1 FR
Zidian made it near impossible for the Wagner offense to gain any traction during the Week 9 battle at Rooney Field. The behemoth nose guard totaled 14 tackles, including 11 solo stops, in the 35-17 victory that allowed the Dukes to maintain their first-place standing. The 6-foot was also credited with 1.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and a fumble recovery. Wagner did not gain first down yardage on any of Zidian’s 14 hits. He limited the ball carrier to no more than a 2-yard gain with 10 of his tackles. On eight occasions, Zidian’s hits resulted in a 1-yard gain or a loss. He made a stop after a 3-yard gain on a 3rd-and-6 play, forcing Wagner into a second-quarter field goal attempt. Zidian made hits resulting in losses on back-to-back plays with Duquesne protecting a 28-17 lead in the fourth quarter. He dropped the running back for a 4-yard loss on 2nd-and-6 and proceeded to sack the passer one snap later.
