Guscott claims the first NEC Player and Rookie of the Week accolades of his career after helping red-hot LIU Brooklyn to a pair of victories last week. On Friday, the freshman scored two second half goals in the Blackbirds’ 3-1 win over Sacred Heart that clinched the NEC regular-season title. In the 49th minute, Guscott collected a loose ball and sent it into the netting for his first goal of the game. Just three minutes later, Guscott found the net once again from 25 yards out for his fifth goal of the season. In LIU's eighth straight win, a 3-0 triumph over Georgia Southern on Sunday, Guscott scored his sixth goal of the season on a header in the 58th minute. The freshman is tied for third in the league with six goals and his 12 points is the eighth-most on the circuit.
