WEEK 7 STATS: 202 receiving yards, 22.4 ypc, 1 receiving TD, 1 pass TD
Dube was a major difference-maker during Sacred Heart’s runaway victory over Ivy League member Cornell. Wowing the SHU Homecoming crowd of 4,551 fans, the veteran receiver gained 202 yards on nine catches and accounted for two touchdowns (one passing, one receiving). The 6-foot-1 Dube averaged 22.4 yards per catch en-route to setting the NEC single-game receiving season high. The 202 receiving yards are not only a career high for Dube, but they stand as the second-best single-game performance in SHU history. Dube was responsible for the Pioneers’ first and last touchdowns of the 31-6 victory. First, he showed off his passing ability by finding Connor Caveney for a 1-yard score that extended SHU’s lead to 10-0 with 13:29 remaining in the second quarter. Dube capped the scoring with an 80-yard touchdown reception down the left sideline in the opening minutes of the fourth period.
