Pauldo propelled Central Connecticut past NEC preseason favorite Bryant. The 6-foot-2 signal caller accounted for 283 yards of total offense and three touchdowns (2 pass, 1 rush) in a 35-33 victory on Homecoming Weekend in New Britain. Pauldo went 15-of-21 passing for 245 yards and gained 38 yards rushing on 11 attempts. He twice answered Bryant scores during the decisive fourth quarter. After the visiting Bulldogs took a 26-21 lead, Pauldo put the Blue Devils back in front by connecting with Cameron Nash on an 84-yard pass play. With CCSU facing a 33-29 deficit, the redshirt freshman engineered a 7-play, 73-yard game-winning drive. Pauldo accounted for 59 yards on the drive and completed back-to-back passes of 25 and 24 yards to set up a 1st-and-goal at the Bryant 4.
