WEEK 4 STATS: 1-for-1 FG (career long), 1-for-1 PAT, 3 kickoffs, 64.7 avg., 2 touchbacks
Shennan was sensational when called upon at No. 6 South Dakota State. The junior placekicker connected on a career-long field goal, made his only PAT attempt and effectively handled kickoff duties. Shennan accounted for the Colonials’ first points of the game, drilling a 46-yard field goal attempt to cut the deficit to 7-3 in the opening seconds of the second quarter. The kick was one of the 10-longest conversions in RMU history. Shennan boomed two of his three kickoffs out of the end zone for touchbacks. The lone returnable kickoff resulted in a SDSU drive start at the 18-yard line. Shennan has boomed more than half of his kickoffs for touchbacks this season and is a perfect 11-for-11 on PATs.
