Jerome’s kick return prowess accounted for Saint Francis’ first touchdown at CAA member Towson. After the host Tigers grabbed a 7-0 advantage on a two-yard run late in the first quarter, Jerome took the ensuing kickoff 99 yards to even the score. The Floridian’s 99-yard return for a touchdown stands as the longest in SFU’s program history, surpassing Desmond Ray’s 94-yard return against LaSalle in 2001. It was the highlight of a productive day for Jerome in the return game. He ran back the game’s opening kickoff 34 yards to the SFU 40. He averaged 45.3 yards per runback, returning four kicks in the 35-20 road defeat.
