WEEK 2 STATS: 11 total tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1 FF, 1 PBU
Stojkovic spearheaded a gutsy defensive effort that nearly led to an upset of nationally-ranked Youngstown State. Going up against a YSU offense that scored 37 points and accumulated over 400 yards of total offense against ACC member Pittsburgh in Week 1, Stojkovic made seven stops that limited the ball carrier to 3 yards or fewer. The veteran linebacker totaled 11 tackles, including 1.5 hits for a loss, one forced fumble and one pass break-up. He set the tone for a strong defensive effort on Youngstown’s second play from scrimmage, forcing a fumble that gave RMU its first drive start at the YSU 41-yard line. He derailed another first-quarter YSU drive by logging a first-down tackle and breaking up a pass one play later. Stojkovic stopped Martin Ruiz for a two-yard loss on a 3-and-2 play early in the second quarter, forcing YSU into a field goal try.
