Week 11 Stats: 4 starts, .533 BA (8-for-15), 6 XBH, 7 R, 7 RBI, 1.067 slugging pct.
Rinn’s red-hot bat helped Bryant to a four-game sweep of Fairleigh Dickinson. The first baseman recorded at least one extra-base hit and scored at least one run in all four NEC victories. During the four-game clip, he batted .533 with five doubles, one home run, seven RBI and seven runs scored. He also drew one walk and one HBP en-route to a .588 on-base percentage. Rinn, who slugged 1.067 for the week, notched a single, a double and a run scored in Bryant’s series-opening walk-off win on Friday. The left-handed hitting Rinn accounted for a monster power surge in the first half of Saturday’s double header. Driving in six runs and scoring three, he belted two doubles and a home run in the 14-4 triumph. Rinn added two hits in the nightcap and crossed the plate with the game-tying run in the bottom of the seventh. With the Bulldogs facing a 5-4 deficit and down to their final three outs, Rinn sparked the game-winning rally by lacing a leadoff double to left-centerfield. He continued the hot hitting right through the series finale. Rinn’s RBI double increased Bryant’s advantage to 2-0 in the fifth inning of the eventual 11-3 victory.
