Week 10 Stats: 1 start, 0.00 ERA, 7.0 IP, 5 H, 1 BB, 5 K, Series-clinching Victory
Bingel’s starting performance allowed Bryant to secure a NEC series victory over rival Sacred Heart. The right-handed hurler pitched to a 0.00 ERA and 0.86 WHIP last week en-route to securing his second win of the season. Setting the stage for Bryant’s convincing victory in the finale of the four-game weekend set, Bingel scattered five hits and one base of balls over 7.0 scoreless innings. The 5-foot-10 righty, who registered a season-high five strikeouts, surrendered only four singles through 5.0 innings. Working with an 8-0 lead, he ran into marginal trouble in the sixth as Sacred Heart put two runners aboard via a two-out double followed by a walk. Bingel did not allow the lead runner past second base as he induced a fly out from the next batter. Batting for himself during the 15-2 victory, Bingel connected on an RBI single in the seventh after drawing a hit-by-pitch and scoring a run in the game’s opening frame.
