Eberhardt missed the entire 2014 outdoor season, but her steeple chasing skill did not suffer. The veteran distance runner has built a wide lead over the Northeast Conference in the 3,000m steeple chase. Contesting the event for the second time this season, Eberhardt crossed the line in 10:46.77 at Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invitational. The time, which is nearly 20 seconds faster than the mark she registered at the Sam Howell Invitational on April 3, qualified Eberhardt for the ECAC Championships in May. Currently ranked amongst the top-70 leaders in the NCAA Division I East Region, Eberhardt could threaten the NEC Outdoor Championships meet record (10:35.47) in two weeks.
