Walker-Khan initially secured the NEC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week award for his triple jumping prowess. Now, he retains it by virtue of his latest long jump performance. Contesting the long jump for the first time this outdoor season, Walker-Khan leapt his way to the top of the NEC leader board. Competing in the College Division at Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invitational, the British-born Blackbird went 7.31m (23’ 11.75”) to finish second amongst collegiate entries. His mark is well above the qualifying standard for the IC4A Championships and places him 34th overall on the NCAA Division I East Region leader board.
