The NEC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week award moves from one LIU Brooklyn Blackbird to another. After Kemar Lewis secured the honor for his high jump prowess, second-year Blackbird Adam Walker-Khan earned his way into the spotlight by virtue of his league-leading triple jump performance. Contesting the Hampton University Relays, the British-born Walker-Khan triple jumped 14.97m (49’ 1.5”) to take over first place on the NEC leader board. The mark is nearly one-half meter better than the IC4A Championship qualifying standard and is currently 39th-best amongst NCAA Division I East Region leaders.
