Kuhar continued to build on his resume with a second NEC Player of the Week and third NEC Rookie of the Week award of the spring as part of a stellar freshman campaign. The Smithfield, RI native won both his singles matches for the defending NEC champion Bulldogs, who enter this weekend’s NEC Championship as the tournament’s top seed. In a battle of the league’s two most decorated freshman performers, Kuhar downed Wagner’s Michal Rolski on Saturday, 6-2, 6-4, then stopped Sacred Heart’s Justin Pagan, 6-1, 6-0, the following afternoon. Kuhar has now won five straight #1 flight singles matches and improved to 18-8 over the course of the 2014-15 season. His 18 wins ranks second on Bryant and third in the NEC.
