Petit-Homme made for a productive trip to Gainesville, FL. LIU’s veteran hurdler turned in one of the nation’s top-20 times at the 400m distance this season. Petit-Homme, who settled for silver at the 2014 NEC Outdoor Championships, was the fifth-fastest collegiate finisher at the Florida Relays. Crossing the line in 51.20, the Haitian-born athlete moved up into the No. 18 spot on the early-season NCAA Division I leader board. Should he repeat that performance at the NEC’s outdoor title meet in May, he would break a 15-year old record in the 400m hurdles.
