Dini did it all for Wagner as the Seahawks opened their 2015 conference schedule against Verrazano Bridge rival LIU Brooklyn. The veteran backstop hit for average, displayed speed on the base paths, came through in the clutch and provided prime defense behind the plate. Dini accounted for the NEC’s highest batting average (.615), on-base percentage (.684) and slugging percentage (.923) during the opening weekend of league play. In a four-game set against the Blackbirds, Dini went 8-for-13 with four doubles, four RBI, three runs, three walks and two HBP while striking out only once. The fleet-of-foot Garden State product was a perfect 3-for-3 on stolen bases attempts. Defensively, he cut down 50 percent of would-be base-stealers (3-of-6). He plated the first run of the NEC series opener with a third-inning sac fly. Six frames later, his ninth-inning, walk-off single sent Wagner to a 3-2 victory. Leading the Seahawks to a 9-6 win in the finale and a series split, Dini produced two hits and two runs. He belted an RBI double in the first inning before coming around to score on wild pitch and tie the game at 2-2. After doubling again in the sixth, Dini crossed home plate with the go-ahead run one batter later.
