Guerrera retains the NEC Men’s Rookie of the Week award on the merit of his recent 500m performance. Competing in the Yale Giegengack Invitational, Registering a personal best of 1:05.46, the rookie broke the 13-year old Sacred Heart program record by 0.14 second. After recording an IC4A qualifying mark in the 800 one week earlier, Guerrera just missed on picking up an automatic IC4A berth in a second event. Guerrera won his heat and placed second out of 18 500m entries at Yale, moving into seventh place on the NEC leader board in the process.
