Contesting the 60m dash for the first time this indoor season, Rodney immediately shot to the top of the Northeast Conference performance list. The Canadian-born sprinter flew to victory at the Metro Team Challenge, a one-day event hosted at the NYC Armory. Rodney clocked in at 6.81, topping all collegiate entrants in the field. His time was well under the qualifying standard for the IC4A Championships and ranked as the 65th-fastest in NCAA Division I as of January 27.
