Bartosch appears to have avoided the mythical sophomore slump. The 2014 NEC Indoor Most Outstanding Rookie performer produced one of the top Pentathlon point totals in NCAA Division I this past weekend. Placing second amongst 20 entrants at the Beantown Challenge, Bartosch accumulated 3,515 points (17th-best total in nation thus far) to earn an automatic bid to the ECAC Championships. Bartosch cleared 1.60m in the high jump, moving into second place on the NEC event leader board. Although it was short of her league-leading seasonal best, Bartosch produced the fourth-best long jump mark by a NEC athlete.
