Steinbugl reached a new height at the NYC Gotham Cup. The 2014 NEC Indoor pole vault champion added to his league lead in his signature event by clearing 4.80m (15’ 9”) during what was his third competition of the indoor season. Clearing the aforementioned height indoors for the first time in his career, Steinbugl finished fourth overall, and was second amongst collegiate entrants, in a crowded field at the annual Gotham Cup. Steinbugl, who cleared 4.95m during the 2014 outdoor season, earned an automatic bid to the IC4A Indoor Championships thanks to his most-recent performance.
