Fruster contested the 400m dash for the first time this season and the result was a league-leading time. The CCSU senior, who finished his signature event in a first-place dead heat at the 2014 NEC Indoor Championships, crossed the line in 48.62s at the NYC Gotham Cup. The mark earned him a bronze medal and stood as the second-fastest time by a collegiate competitor at the meet. Coming in well under the qualifying standard for the IC4A Championships, Fruster owns a top-75 time in NCAA Division I.
